Yellow & Black in colour. The workers are around 1.2-1.7cm in length whilst The Queen Wasp is around 2-2.5cm. Wasps have 4 wings are narrow bodies.

The German Wasp (Vespula germanica) and the Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris) are the most common Wasps found in the UK.

When building their nests, Wasps chew through the wood. Overtime they can cause the roof to become weak due to deterioration. If left long enough wall cracks can also be possible. The location of the nests are usually on the roof, in the loft and are built up using wood pulp creating a paper-like appearance.

No, Wasps cannot spread disease. However, unlike Bees, Wasps can sting multiple times (sometimes unprovoked).
